| The Fayette County Lake is just a few miles away and offers plenty of outdoor recreation including excellent bass fishing, boating, swimming, bird watching, and picnicking. There are two parks on the lake including Park Prairie Park and Oak Thicket Park featuring boat launches & ramps, fishing piers, boat docks, designated swim areas, picnic areas, playgrounds, and pavilions. There are also several nature trails ideal for viewing wildlife.
